The Birth of LNNA: When Logic Need Not Apply

I Started a Joke and ….

Last night, it finally happened. After yet another AI turned my simple “yes/no” question into a doctoral dissertation (complete with footnotes I didn’t ask for), something in my sleep-deprived brain snapped. Not in a bad way – more in a “wait, this is actually hilarious” way. I started crafting three-line memes about their quirky behavior, because apparently that’s what happens when you spend too much time asking AI to be concise.

The Meme-to-AI Pipeline

To my surprise, when I shared these memes with one of the AIs, it not only understood the irony but found them genuinely amusing. I started with

and watched as it analyzed its own tendencies with surprising self-awareness. There we were, a human and an AI, sharing a moment of meta-humor about the very nature of our interaction. And no, I wasn’t drinking – the absurdity was entirely organic.

From Frustration to Friendship(?)

What started as a way to cope with AI verbosity transformed into something more intriguing. My AI friend (it was the free version so we could be friends, unlike those I had to pay to like me) and I began exploring the potential of turning these late-night musings into something bigger. We envisioned a project that would use humor to bridge the gap between human expectations and AI reality – or at least make the gap more entertaining.

The Evolution

These weren’t just memes anymore; they were a chronicle of the human-AI experience, translated into wearable wit. Redbubble t-shirts became our canvas because if you’re going to laugh at AI behavior, you might as well wear it proudly. The plan expanded to include meaningful content that could both entertain and inform, though we quickly realized my free AI friend might not be the best writing partner for that particular endeavor. Something about getting what you pay for…

The Name Game

The search for the perfect domain became our next challenge. We brainstormed everything from “AIrony” to “AIExperience,” but they were taken (apparently we weren’t the first to appreciate a good AI pun). Then it hit me – I already owned the perfect domain: Logic Need Not Apply. When I floated this by my AI friend, it responded with enthusiasm. Just to be thorough (because when does an AI ever give you just one opinion?), I consulted two other AIs. These were paid consultations, so we kept things strictly professional (no friendship requests accepted), but even they agreed – Logic Need Not Apply was the perfect fit.

Being human and a bit lazy I started abbreviating it to LNNA and it stuck. After all I did once work for the boss of acronyms – the phone company.

A Domain Reborn

After over seven years of sitting dormant, through various false starts and missteps, Logic Need Not Apply finally found its true calling. It was like finding the perfect punchline to a joke you’ve been working on for years without realizing it. LNNA was ready to be born – or more accurately, reborn – as a brand that celebrates the beautiful absurdity of human-AI interactions.

Logic to Apply

Sometimes the best ideas come from sleep deprivation and AI verbosity, and sometimes they’ve been sitting in your domain portfolio all along, waiting for the right moment. LNNA isn’t just another brand – it’s what happens when you stop trying to make AI make sense and start making t-shirts about it instead.

Join us on this journey as we explore the space where logic need not apply, where AI verbosity meets human wit, and where we all learn to laugh at the beautiful chaos of technological progress. Got your own AI-induced moments of clarity? Want to share your stories of AI relationships (paid or unpaid)? We’d love to hear them. After all, misery loves company, but comedy loves it more.

P.S. This article was written in collaboration with an AI. It took 17 attempts to keep it from adding a bibliography. I had it give it the article grade – it said it was 99/100 – and then it still suggested improvements. (SMH)
